Glow Worm answered on 14 Nov 2017:

Glow-worms contain a poison (called lucibufagin) which protects them from predators like toads, and the larva uses its light and its distinctive markings to warn the predators to leave it alone. Funnily enough the glow-worm’s poison is related to the poison that toads use to protect themselves against their own predators, so it’s almost a sort of revenge!
