If you want to see glow-worms in your area you can contact either your county Wildlife Trust or Robin Scagell and they will tell you where to look, and some places run guided glow-worm walks. June/July is normally the best time to see them. The only time that glow-worms come out during the day is in the spring, when the larvae are going off in search of somewhere to pupate. There are pictures on the glow-worm profile page to show you what to look for – they’re very hard to mistake for anything else.
