Question: Who usually lives longer, a male or a female?
female, lifespan, male
Asked by katie hargreaves to Barbastelle Bat, Eurasian Otter, European Flat Oyster, Glow Worm, Lundy Cabbage, Scaly Cricket, Scottish Wildcat, Spot Fly, Strapwort on 8 Dec 2017.
answered on 8 Dec 2017:
If you’re a female glow-worm you’re likely to live a bit longer than a male, but neither of them can eat when they become adults so even females only live for a week or two and normally die as soon as they’ve laid their last egg. Sad really.
How long do you live for?
